Paleo-based Diet
Absolute Holistic is a paleo based diet, or more commonly referred to as a caveman diet. Paleo diet consists of foods and ingredients that are consumed by humans during the Paleolithic era. This means Absolute Holistic is similar to your dog’s carnivorous diet! Absolute Holistic is a grain-free diet that contains 93% premium quality meat and organs and 7% Green Lipped mussels, vitamins and minerals.
What is Air-dried?
Air-dried recipes ensure that nutrition and natural enzymes are maintained and maximized to the highest level. This creates a nutrient rich diet that has an jerky texture – you need to touch for yourself to know!
Did you know Absolute Holistic is one of the first few brands to come up with air-dried dog food? You must have heard of freeze dried diets, the best-selling dog food in Singapore. Although both are beneficial, air dried is essentially different from freeze dried.
Freeze dried locks in nutritional composition and structure of ingredients through this process called sublimation. Sublimation takes place when frozen water crystals evaporate directly from ice to water vapour under atmospheric changes. On the other hand, the air-dried process uses warm air instead of cold atmospheric changes. The air-drying process removes about 70-80% of moisture in the ingredients. The bound water is not removed in order to retain a delicious eating experience for your dogs!
It it observed that air dried has a long shelf life of approximately 18 months. It is also considered “raw”, since food isn’t exposed to a high temperature to consider it “cooked”.
