Pee pads are rectangular or square layers of absorbent materials that are very useful for dog owners. Also called potty pads, wee-wee pads, or dog training pads, they are a lifesaver for pet parents for numerous reasons but their primary benefit is their ability to soak up a dog’s urine.

There are multiple kinds of pee pads offered by various brands for you to choose from. Here’s a quick breakdown of some common ones:

Carbon Pee Pads:

Carbon pee pads are known for being embedded with activated charcoal to eliminate indoor dog potty odor.  They feature a large number of internal spaces or pores to trap the odor.

This substance is helpful since they create a natural odor absorber that is entirely scentless and effective too.

Antibacterial Pee Pads:

Bacteria forming due to pet excrement can cause foul odors. Antibacterial variants will tackle this by eliminating bacteria effectively while their multiple layers can hold up the liquid easily.

Absorb Plus also has an Antibacterial version for those who need to cover this issue.

Scented Pee Pads:

Some pee pads mask he odor by being infused with a pleasant-smelling fragrance. So instead of being hit with a harsh odor, instead you can experience a fresher smell.

Check out Altimate Pet’s scented variants for this purpose.

Potty training, at times, may also require other items which can complement a housebreaking pup going to the loo.

Pee Pad Trays

One of the problems with pee pads is that dogs or pups oftentimes walk in their own pees once they are finished. A good tool for solving this problem is a pee pad tray. Many dogs can use the grated tray and it’s also better than open pee pads.

Cleaning Spray

Cleaning sprays are beneficial for you to clean up all dirt and prevent the germs from spreading. They are important for you to remove stains and keep your home clean.

All in all, pee pads are necessary for pet parents to introduce indoor potty training for their dog.
