As Singaporeans, one of the things we look forward to every year is the fireworks display to commemorate the start of the new year. We watch in awe and snap a bunch of pictures of the beautiful fireworks. Meanwhile, our furry friends are usually stuck at home alone while we are out celebrating the new year. This year, bring your furry friends along to usher in the new year! Besides watching the fireworks, there are also other places you can go together with your furry friends.
This year’s fireworks display is shown across 11 different heartland areas around Singapore. This means you can enjoy it in a more convenient location. As watching fireworks can be overwhelming for pets, be sure to keep a distance from the fireworks. Besides keeping a distance, there are other ways to ensure that your pet doesn’t get frazzled by the fireworks display. The 11 locations are Bedok, Bishan, Boon Lay, Geylang, Hougang, Jurong, Tampines, Tiong Bahru, Woodlands, YewTee and Nanyang Ward in West Coast Group.
Although there won’t be any fireworks at Marina Bay, there will be light shows and displays to replace it. One of the displays is called ‘Shine A Light’ and it features 60 light beams that are projected from the Promontory at Marina Bay. On 31st December, the light will shine in magenta to commemorate the harmonious spirit of Singaporeans in these tough times. Your pets will certainly enjoy watching these light beams light up the Singapore skies!
There is also a light projection show with illustrations that are portraying the situations when Singaporeans help one another during difficult times. There are different showcase timings so be sure to take note at this link!
Do you still want to spend time with your friends and family but also want to bring your pet along? Visit Tanjong Beach Club for a wonderful day of sun, sea and sand with your loved ones. Your furry friends will definitely enjoy having sand in between their paws while running. Not forgetting, there is a whole array of food that is available to fill up your tummies. There will be bowls of water provided for your pets at Tanjong Beach Club.
With the COVID-19 virus still lingering around, some people might prefer to avoid the crowd and stay at the comfort of their own house. Your pets will be happy that you’re staying home together with them too. This doesn’t have to be boring! Instead, you can spend intimate time with your loved ones and furry friends and discuss your new years’ resolutions. Yes.. your pet has to promise to be a good boy in 2022! In fact, there are some online events happening such as the ‘Let’s Celebrate 2021’ countdown happening on livestream. There are many local celebrities performing so you still usher in the new year with a bang!
Have a happy new year with your furry companions! The holidays are always a good chance to relax and rejuvenate before the next year begins.
